Notes from the Universe - TUT.com
Thinking that money will somehow make one happy, John-Derek, isn’t thinking at all.
Hey, sorry, you know better. But you might not believe how many people think that just because they don’t have much of it now, its lack is at the root of their own challenges. Which is never the case.

The Universe
Don’t get me wrong, John-Derek, I’m all about the “Bling-Bling.” But the lack of abundance in one’s life is not a cause, but an effect, of other thoughts on the subjects of life, work, and happiness.

Timely: I have been affirming lately my intention to focus on the good. To see the light in each situation and each person I encounter. Knowing that we are all navigating our way along our distinct life path towards the same goal. I choose this for myself.
You may experience feelings of vulnerability and defenselessness today as you share your deeper feelings with loved ones. Perhaps you are working on creating a deeper level of intimacy in your relationships, or you might be feeling a need to share yourself authentically with others. Since your discomfort is likely caused by the perception that an unguarded heart may result in pain or loss, you may want to strengthen your belief in the resiliency of your spirit today. By adopting a higher spiritual perspective, you will understand that nothing can truly be taken away from you unless you choose to give it. If you also affirm that all experiences are valuable and worthwhile for the lessons and growth they provide, you will feel less threatened by the possibility of experiencing pain.
By acknowledging our own spiritual eternalness and resiliency, we are able to release our fear and engage in each experience with joy and courage. Rather than getting locked into a fearful perspective that emphasizes what we stand to lose, we can choose to turn this perspective around and focus on what we stand to gain. By lifting our perspective to encompass the magic and mystery of our spiritual journey, we understand that our smaller moments of discomfort are inconsequential. We instead begin to see them as valuable experiences that can add richness and depth to our journey. By focusing only on the joy you stand to gain from each experience today, you will find the courage to open your heart wide and share yourself with others.

Announced with great fanfare in late November, 2006, scientists have discovered that human DNA is far more variable than previously thought. Contrary to previous beliefs, as much as 10 percent of human genes vary wildly from one person to the next. The mainstream press is hailing the discovery and some sort of breakthrough that will shed light on so-called “incurable” diseases and give researchers the ability to create more targeted medicines. (There’s always a pro-Pharma slant in the mainstream media isn’t there?) In reality, this new DNA discovery explains why most pharmaceuticals don’t work for most people.
More importantly, this discovery humbles us, and shows us that even our top scientists know less about human DNA than they once thought. Researching DNA is a lot like researching astronomy: the more we learn, the less we realize we know. It’s as if every newly discovered fact unveils the existence of ten new questions we never knew existed.

Your Perfect Teacher
Many of us long to find a spiritual teacher or guru. We may feel unsure of how to practice our spirituality without one, or we may long for someone who has attained a higher level of insight to lead the way for us. Some of us have been looking for years to no avail and feel frustrated and even lost. The good news is that the greatest teacher you could ever want is always with you-that is your life.
The people and situations we encounter every day have much to teach us when we are open to receiving their wisdom. Often we don’t recognize our teachers because they may not look or act like our idea of a guru, yet they may embody great wisdom. In addition, some people teach us by showing us what we don’t want to do. All the situations in our lives, from the insignificant to the major, conspire to teach us exactly what we need to be learning at any given time. Patience, compassion, perseverance, honesty, letting go-all these are covered in the classroom of the teacher that is your life.
We can help ourselves to remember this perfect teacher each day with a few simple words. Each morning we might find a moment to say, “I acknowledge and honor the teacher that is my life. May I be wise enough to recognize the teachers and lessons that I encounter today, and may I be open to receiving their wisdom.” We might also take some time each day to consider what our lives are trying to teach us at this time. A difficult phase in your relationship with your child may be teaching you to let go. The homeless person you see every day may be showing you the boundaries of your compassion and generosity. A spate of lost items may be asking you to be more present to physical reality. Trust your intuition on the nature of the lesson at hand, work at your own pace, and ask as many questions as you want. Your life has all the answers.

The Power of Intention
By: Dr. Wayne Dyer
My intention is for all of my activities to be directed by Spirit. My intention is to love and radiate my love to my writing and speaking and any who might read these words. My intention is to trust in what comes through me and to be a vehicle of Spirit, judging none of it. My intention is to recognize the Spirit as my Source and to detach from my ego. My intention is to do all that I can to elevate the collective consciousness to be more closely in rapport with the Spirit of the originating supreme power of intention.
